Manager

Date:  26 Jun 2026
Location:

Sydney, NSW, AU

Department:  Technology & Transformation
Description:

Job Requisition ID: 40898

  • Lead complex network and cloud transformation work across strategy, architecture, migration and delivery - with the chance to grow into adjacent areas like automation, AWS and NetDevOps.

  • Be part of market-leading projects with global scale and complexity

  • Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters

What will your typical day look like?

From network assessments and architecture reviews through to migrations, remediation and large-scale transformation programs, this role gives you broad exposure to complex client environments. You'll help shape solutions across routing, switching, load balancing, firewalling and cloud networking, while guiding clients through topics like Software-Defined-x, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and NetDevOps.

Your work will help clients make better technology decisions, modernise legacy environments and build more resilient, scalable platforms. That could mean leading workshops, setting technical direction, structuring delivery activities, or translating complex design choices into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and executive audiences.

Working closely with neighbouring cloud infrastructure and application development teams, you'll contribute to full-stack transformation journeys rather than purely siloed network engagements. The pace is varied, the problems are meaningful, and you'll have room to build trusted advisor relationships while mentoring others and spotting opportunities to grow the work around you.

About the team

Deloitte's Cloud Engineering team brings together specialists across networking, security and cloud to help clients solve complex infrastructure challenges and unlock better business outcomes. Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • Strong experience across core networking domains such as routing, switching, load balancing and firewalling

  • A track record delivering or leading assessments, solution design, architecture, migrations and transformation initiatives

  • Confidence leading client engagements across planning, workshops, delivery coordination, stakeholder management and project lifecycle activities

  • Clear communication, documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor technical concepts for executive audiences

  • A strategic, resilient and proactive approach, with sound judgement and a genuine interest in solving client problems

  • Professional networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent, ideally alongside exposure to vendors such as F5, Palo Alto or Aruba

  • Nice to have - experience with automation, coding, cloud platforms or practices such as Git, APIs, CI/CD, IaC and NetDevOps

  • Nice to have - cloud or next-gen networking certifications across AWS, Azure, GCP or Cisco DevNet
