Lead and grow Deloitte's banking financial risk offering across credit risk modelling and analytics, model risk management and AI model assurance - for Australia's major financial institutions
-
Be part of market-leading projects with global scale and complexity
-
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
Step into a Director role in our Assurance practice in Sydney or Melbourne, where you'll combine deep quantitative risk expertise with client leadership to help financial institutions respond to prudential change, strengthen credit risk frameworks, and shape the growth of Deloitte's banking financial risk offering.
What will your typical day look like?
This is a client-facing, growth-driven role. You’ll lead complex financial risk engagements focused on credit risk modelling and analytics-spanning IRB, ECL, stress testing - covering model development, validation, and external/internal audit reviews. Your remit will include advising on model risk governance frameworks, reviewing provisioning methodologies, assessing prudential compliance, and exploring how AI and machine learning are being used to enhance risk decisioning and model robustness.
You will engage closely with senior client stakeholders - providing clear, pragmatic advice on technically complex risk and regulatory matters. Your influence will help clients respond confidently to regulatory scrutiny, while improving the quality, resilience, and innovation within their risk management practices.
Equally importantly, you will be a visible growth driver for the practice. This includes building and nurturing trusted client relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and shaping the future direction of Deloitte’s banking financial risk offering. You will lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement that delivers consistent quality and momentum.
