- Associate – 2+ years of community or corporate / consulting experience
- Senior Associate – 4+ years of community or corporate / consulting experience

We are looking for a wide range of people with many different skill sets. yamagigu is open to candidates from all walks of life. Consultants and Senior consultants, you will play a crucial role in supporting Australia's largest First Nations consulting business. You will assist in managing projects from start to finish, ensuring tasks are organized and deadlines are met. Your involvement will be essential in coordinating project activities and contributing to achieving project goals.
As an Associate or Senior Associate your impact will be seen by:
- Analytical strength with the ability to solve problems accurately and quickly
- Ability to discern fact from opinion and offer proof
- Communicates meaningfully in both formal and informal settings
- Communicates ideas and conclusions clearly and concisely in writing
- Actively listens and responds to input of others
- Ability to present ideas and information at Board level
What skills are needed?
Analytical Thinking: Ability to deconstruct complex problems and perform robust data analysis is crucial. This skill enables consultants to identify patterns and insights, driving effective solutions.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with key industries such as Aboriginal Affairs. This knowledge informs strategic decisions and innovative approaches.
Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication is vital. Candidates must present information effectively to clients and team members, ensuring clarity and engagement
Project Support: Experience in supporting projects from conception to completion, coupled with strong organisational skills, is essential. This involves coordinating tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and project goals
Client Relationship: Building and maintaining strong client relationships is key. Understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions ensures sustained partnership and satisfaction.
Team Collaboration: Proven experience in team settings is necessary, as collaboration fosters innovation and enhances project outcomes.
Technical Ability: Competence with software tools like Excel and PowerPoint, alongside industry-specific software that supports efficient project execution and analysis
Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting to diverse project requirements and client and community needs is highly valued. Willingness to travel and adjust approaches in a dynamic and responsive consultancy practice
