Workday Integration Consultant

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, as a Workday Integration Consultant within Deloitte’s HRT practice, you will be a key member on the best Workday implementation team in the region and globally and have the opportunity to solve the most interesting, complex and challenging problems in the Workday Integration ecosystem.

In this role, you will responsible for a broad range of activities like owning the design, build and support of Workday Integrations, including input into system and application architecture. While in some roles you can be an individual contributor, others may require you to oversee and mentor junior team members on Deloitte best practice and methods. You will be responsible for documenting specifications, managing project scopes, building and testing integrations, and delivering technical solutions to customers.


Client Work

  • Design, build, and support testing of Workday integrations
  • Create detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.
  • Display solid understanding of the business process, workflows and data requirements for each of Workday integration across Human Capital Management or Financials
  • Using your HCM or Financials experience to determine effective integration solutions
  • Work with 3rd party vendors on integration solution
  • Dependent on seniority, the role could be further extended to:
    • Owning partial or end-to-end management of Integration activities and deliverables. 
    • Planning and executing Design workshops for assigned integrations
    • Provide accurate estimates of development effort to the Integration Lead/Director
    • Coordination, review and quality assurance of all required Integration deliverables assigned to you
    • Management of Build activities aligned with Program schedule
    • Participate in and provide inputs on Integration testing activities, Integration cutover activities, Dress Rehearsals to the Integration Lead
    • Client relationship and stakeholder management
    • Grooming and coaching junior team members
    • Perform risk management and mitigation activities based on sphere of responsibility
    • Provide regular updates on deliverables to Integration Lead / Director
    • Together with client Integration Manager, lead vendor management and escalate issues as appropriate.


Practice Development

  • Offering a strong and compelling point of view around integration approaches and design
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of the delivery and innovation of integrations
  • Actively involved in the running of the practice

Business Development

  • Playing an active role in pre-sales and bid development
  • Identification of on-sell opportunities through existing client engagements
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the business by delivering sales opportunities

We revamp the way our client companies work and craft beautifully designed, fully integrated systems with solutions like SAP, Oracle, and Workday. In our solution-focused team, we get a little nervous with the average as learning and collaboration sees no end. 


Enough about us, let's talk about you 

Our practice is growing, and we’re keen to speak with Consultants/Senior Consultants who have experience in integrating cloud-based ERP systems. 

Required skills:

  • Experience with at least 1 full life cycle cloud system implementation or the support and enhancement of a Workday system post go-live
  • Consulting experience, preferably with a large consulting firm
  • Minimum of 2 years’ development experience
  • Understanding web services including SOAP and REST and experience in the application of tools and technologies such as XML, XSLT, Java, JSON, middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure)
  • Has client facing experience and worked in an Agile environment

Preferred skills:

  • Workday Integration Certified, strongly preferred but not required
  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS or Financials
  • Background with Integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure etc
