Vacationer Program
Our Vacationer Program is a paid summer internship (4–8 weeks) offering real client exposure, project work, and structured onboarding. You’ll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early Graduate offer.

Duration: 4 weeks

Location: Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney
Eligibility: Penultimate year students, Australian citizen for Canberra / PR or Australian citizen for all other locations
About the team
You’ll be joining the a team of specialists with deep expertise across HR strategy, operating model design and digital transformation who value learning, collaboration and diverse thinking. The team supports early-career development through coaching, buddy support and hands-on experience.
What will your typical day look like?
Day-to-day, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real client projects, and build your capability through feedback and support.
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.
Organisational and Workforce Transformation
As a vacationerin this team, you’ll:
- help our clients with their workforce strategy, workforce planning, workforce composition, workforce activation and workforce motivation
- work with our clients to deliver change and culture transformation
- design, implement and improve the way that our client organisations work to maximise their performance and engagement

HR Strategy & Operations
As a vacationer in this team, you’ll:
- conduct project research and data analysis to inform HR recommendations
- use your expertise to map HR processes in support of technology design

Human Capital Management and Payroll Cloud Technology Implementation
As a vacationer in this team, you’ll:
- design, implement and integrate Human Capital Management and Payroll Cloud Technology (think Oracle HCM, Peoplesoft, SAP Success Factors, Servicenow and Workday) to drive digital transformation and optimise operational efficiency

We’re seeking penultimate year students to join our vacationer program.
You may have all or some of the following:
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfort asking questions and learning through feedback
- Alignment with Deloitte’s values and inclusive culture
- You’ll be studying towards or have completed a relevant degree, such as Psychology, Commerce, Analytics, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Political Science, Law.
