What will your typical day look like?  

 

Our teams are centred around transforming businesses in areas such as sustainability, value chain, digital twins, asset management, strategy, and innovation. We aim to support the energy transition of the planet, our local economy, and our people. You will:

  • Build your skills and capabilities: Depending on your passion we have training courses for you from consulting strategy and operations to Smart Manufacturing, AI and Digital Twins. Network, network, network! Work with a high-performing team with a strong commitment to helping our clients develop more resilient business models and build the capability to be more successful.
  • Contribute to program delivery and pursuits: Contribute to proposals and pursuit documents and enable effective delivery of projects with a focus on outcomes and impact.
  • Work on some of the most groundbreaking projects in Australia: Undertake operations, transformation-focused projects, and work with government and businesses to develop their strategic capability.
  • Be at the cusp of Deloitte’s innovation: work with our products such as Optimal Reality and Illuminate, globally leading solutions where product development is led by our team in Australia.

 

Who will you be working with?

 

Our Sustainability & Industrial Technology (S&IT) team works with a diverse range of clients across Energy, Mobility, Design & Manufacturing, Government, and Agrifood - industries that are committed to driving Australia’s transition towards greater sovereignty, sustainable manufacturing, and value-added innovation.

 

Within our team, you'll collaborate on cutting-edge projects in:

  • Digital Twins & Simulation
  • Supply Chain Resilience & Visibility
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Smart Manufacturing & Operations
  • Agrifood Transformation & Circularity
  • Climate Adaptation, Decarbonisation and Biodiversity


You'll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that helps clients navigate complex challenges, embrace digital transformation, and build a more sustainable, future-ready Australia.

We know that as a student, you may not necessarily have a tonne of work experience, and that’s okay! At Deloitte, we see past experience and value your ethics and potential to grow more than anything else. You’re someone who:  

 

  • Combines logical thinking with creativity to approach problem-solving in a unique way  
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Australian permanent residency or Australian/New Zealand Citizenship
  • Preferred degrees include:
    • S&IT – Software Engineering, Data Science, Simulation Engineering, other STEM degrees with an interest in IT/software aspect.
    • PLM – IT/Comp Science/Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Software Eng). Engineering students who have an interest in IT, or IT students who have an interest in engineering.
    • Smart Manufacturing & Operations: Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics) students who have an interest in Automation, SCADA. IIoT, MES, and integration plant to IT systems
    • AgriFood Transformation & Circularity – Agriculture Sciences, Agribusiness, Circular Economy, Bio-Economy, Environment, Food Sciences, AgTech, AgriFoodTech, Agriculture Innovation.
