About the team

Monitor Deloitte is the strategy practice of Deloitte, part of the Strategy & Business Design Offering Portfolio. As one of Australia’s largest strategy consulting practices, we leverage our rich heritage, world-class capabilities, and global footprint to help clients navigate the future with confidence.

Our work spans a diverse range of industries across the Asia-Pacific region, from ASX-listed companies (such as tier 1 mining houses) to the public and social sectors. We partner with senior executives and leaders to tackle their most complex challenges, bringing global perspectives and turn strategic choices into portfolios of impactful initiatives that drive value and sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Join our established and unique strategy practice where you can make a tangible impact from day one. You’ll help clients with their most pressing challenges by designing growth and competitive strategies, transforming business and operating models, and creating innovation and venture propositions that drive sustained commercial value. You’ll deliver innovative solutions and strategic recommendations by conducting comprehensive market research, building analytical models, and presenting insights to support your conclusions. You’ll also directly engage with clients through designing and facilitating interviews and workshops.

You’ll collaborate with experts across Deloitte, such as Deloitte Access Economics, Deloitte Digital, Energy Transition, and Engineering, AI & Data. You’ll grow in a culture that prioritises continuous development, mentorship, and a comparatively healthy work-life balance.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

As a Strategy Manager, you will possess a tertiary qualification and a strong track record of delivering strategic and operational outcomes within mining and metals or other complex industrial sectors. We are seeking individuals with experience in strategic decision-making, operating model design, transformation, operational excellence, productivity improvement, and growth initiatives. Experience gained within industry, strategy consulting, or a combination of both is highly valued. You will demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial capabilities, with experience shaping and delivering end-to-end strategy and transformation programs from design through to execution.

Given the stakeholder requirements associated with the role, you will need to have highly effective communication skills, allowing you to build trust and credibility with key stakeholders, driving key outcomes and developing new opportunities.

As a Manager, you will have proven team leadership, mentoring and people management capabilities, and a record of developing effective and efficient work environments that enable others to work to the best of their abilities.
