Solution Designer - Digital Banking (Sydney)

We are building out our Digital Banking team and are looking for Solution Designers and technically minded Analysts at the Senior Consultant level to join our team!   If you’ve got a real interest in all things Banking/Digital Banking and experience in working with business requirements to design how these could be realised through modern technologies, working through ambiguity and closely with stakeholders and know how to work in a team – we want you!

 You are comfortable with ambiguity and are self-motivated. You are the type of person that doesn’t settle for good when you know it can be great. You’re always looking to stay up to date with the latest technology and are looking at growing your skills and exposure with the world’s foremost Consulting firm!  You have had some exposure to Banking and are looking at growing a career focused in this space. You may also have relevant experience in another industry but a real desire to make a career in Banking. You are excited about thinking strategically as well as being hands on; you are the kind of person who likes pulling your weight and operate at your best when you feel that you are making a tangible and positive difference. 
A day in your life as a Solution Designer/Tech Analyst 

You will; 

  • Work alongside the business to understand and probe stated business requirements with a view to working out how best to bring these to life 

  • Use your technical and solution capabilities to articulate a technology enabled representation of the requirements and associated design 

  • Work as the bridge between the business and platform/cloud/other engineering teams 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the solution (and ownership of aspects of this) working closely with the Solution architects and engineering teams 

  • Liaise with the end users, system analyst, solution architect, vendor developers and testers to ensure the business requirements are understood 

  • Be able to blend both technical and functional capabilities to contribute to building a strong relationship between the business and IT 

  • Be able to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences – from business and tech executives to business stakeholders, solution architects, engineering teams and the like 

  • Be eager and enthusiastic to pick up new skills and technologies along the way! 

The high level stuff… 

You will have relevant experience (either in industry or at a Consulting firm) and may also have a varied background in one or more areas such as engineering, business analysis or architecture  

  • 3 - 5 Years of experience within a large organisation 

  • Experience with the Agile process and familiarity with the engineering delivery process 

  • Familiarity with solution design, technical requirement elaboration and communicating with various stakeholder groups 

  • A real desire to keep learning!
