What will your typical day look like?

Your day-to-day will be diverse but richly rewarding. This is a non-client facing role working across the business on a variety of different activities

  • Evaluate solution options, recommend preferred solutions, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain architecture and design documents.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing solutions as required.
  • Make recommendations for architectural decisions and set the standards and best practices for the software engineering discipline.
  • Liaise with existing solution architects and development teams across the business to drive best practice and implement standard processes.
  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our business develop and scale technology assets.

 

About the team 

The National Technology Asset Programme aims to help our clients shape their future, using technology as a driving force. The programme is focused on identifying, selecting, and developing technology asset investments (“assets”) that deepen client relationships whilst complementing the services Deloitte delivers to clients, and driving a technology-led transformation of our business.

This is done across the technology asset lifecycle; from driving early-stage ideation, testing and design to development + scaling into market-facing products and services solutions.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You are a solution architect with a strong attention to detail.  You are passionate about software architecture and delivering excellence whilst going deep into specific requirements but also having the ability to look at things from an end-to-end strategic perspective. You have worked with and are able to engage with senior leaders across the business. 

 

You are someone with: 

  • Strong time management skills; ability to work independently under pressure, and on multiple assignments while maintaining top quality deliverables.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to stakeholders. 
  • Experience in the software development lifecycle, web development, cloud technologies and data engineering.
  • Microsoft .NET and MS Azure experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in software engineering, with experience working with cross-functional teams in designing and delivering end-to-end solution architecture.
  • Motivated, energetic, and self‐directed. 
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking. 
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyse and connect data sets and draw insights.
  • Capable of building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies.
