Deloitte’s Capital Projects Team provides a dynamic environment where you will work on challenging projects, across a range of high-profile client organisations
About the team
Our global team is growing rapidly in response to increasing demand for advice on economic resilience, critical supply chains, and national capability uplift. Our clients are investing at scale in complex, multi-year programs to strengthen supply chain security, support priority industries, and deliver outcomes in an increasingly constrained fiscal and geopolitical environment.
We work with Commonwealth and state government agencies, statutory authorities, and industry stakeholders to design, govern, and deliver large-scale programs that improve national resilience, productivity, and industry capability. These programs often span multiple portfolios, jurisdictions, and delivery partners, requiring strong program management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
Our work gives clients confidence to navigate challenges such as delivering outcomes at pace, managing delivery risk, coordinating across government and industry. We bring a strong program design and implementation lens, supported by data, digital, and analytical capability, to ensure initiatives are not only well-designed but deliver measurable outcomes.
Our team draws on deep public sector and consulting experience, including advising on some of Australia’s most complex programs, funding initiatives, and industry policy interventions. We support clients across the full program lifecycle — from policy translation and program design through to implementation, assurance, governance and performance evaluation.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant, you will work alongside senior government clients and industry stakeholders to help design and deliver large, complex programs that strengthen supply chains, uplift industry capability, and improve public sector outcomes. Your work will include:
- Advising Commonwealth and state government clients on program design, governance, and delivery models, particularly for supply chain resilience, critical industries, and capability uplift initiatives.
- Supporting the design and implementation of large-scale funding, grant, and market-shaping programs, including program logic, delivery frameworks, risk management, and performance measurement.
- Working across complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving government agencies, industry bodies, delivery partners, and regulators.
- Applying structured problem-solving, data analysis, and research to inform policy and program decisions.
- Collaborating with Deloitte’s broader capabilities in strategy, economics, digital, data, and analytics to deliver integrated advice to clients.
- Contributing to agile delivery teams, managing discrete workstreams, and delivering high-quality outputs under time and quality constraints.
- Preparing briefings, reports, and presentations for senior government officials and executive stakeholders.
- Supporting client workshops, stakeholder engagement activities, and co-design processes.
- Building your consulting toolkit through on-the-job learning and formal training in public sector transformation, program delivery, and advisory skills.
