Based in Sydney, this permanent opportunity sits within our Application Services team and focuses on delivering engaging, user-centric portal experiences that power critical enterprise workflows.

In this role, you’ll help transform how employees interact with digital services — designing intuitive, scalable ServiceNow portal solutions that enhance usability, adoption, and performance across the enterprise.

 

What will your typical day look like?

Day to day you’ll lead the design and development of advanced Service Portal pages and custom widgets, delivering responsive and scalable user experiences that support complex enterprise workflows.

You’ll collaborate closely with IT and business stakeholders, translating requirements into functional prototypes and interactive solutions. From architecting AngularJS-based custom widgets to integrating workflows and backend services, you’ll play a key role across the full SDLC lifecycle — design, development, testing, deployment, and optimisation.

You’ll also mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, drive UI/UX improvements, and champion continuous platform enhancement through adoption of new ServiceNow features and best practices.

You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing Application Services team specialising in custom scoped application development and platform optimisation on ServiceNow.

Your expertise in portal and widget development will directly influence how employees engage with critical enterprise services.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with strong expertise in custom widget development and Service Portal architecture

  • Deep knowledge of AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JSON, and REST/SOAP integrations

  • Proven experience with client scripts, server scripts, Script Includes, Glide APIs, and scoped application development

  • Experience designing responsive, user-centric portal pages with strong UX principles

  • Ability to debug and optimise complex widget performance issues

  • Strong understanding of integration patterns and ServiceNow APIs

  • Experience working across the full SDLC lifecycle

  • Strong documentation, solution design, and stakeholder communication skills

  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD) highly regarded

  • Familiarity with Now Experience UI Framework or modernising Service Portal implementations (desirable)
