What will your typical day look like?
The SAP Manufacturing Functional Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP solutions that enhance the efficiency and interoperability of manufacturing processes. This role focuses on streamlining production planning, quality management, and supply chain operations while collaborating with other business functions to ensure cohesive operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Integration and Optimisation: Lead the development and implementation of SAP solutions that integrate key manufacturing processes such as production planning (PP), quality management (QM), and supply chain operations. Ensure these processes are optimised for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, address challenges, and align SAP solutions with business objectives. Foster collaboration to create cohesive and efficient workflows.
- Solution Design and Implementation: Design robust SAP architectures that support seamless process integration. Oversee the implementation of these architectures, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead initiatives to implement innovative SAP functionalities that drive operational excellence and business value.
- Project Management: Manage SAP manufacturing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and utilisation of new solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they effectively leverage SAP solutions to achieve manufacturing goals.
About the Team
Deloitte's Technology and Transformation SAP practice helps clients solve complex business issues by combining process and industry knowledge with deep expertise in enabling technologies and packaged software and this team is expanding rapidly.
We are seeking a talented SAP Specialist to become a critical member of Deloitte’s growing SAP practice. This role will be from a Consultant to Senior Manager level and will require you to work on client sites, supporting them throughout the whole project life cycle from Design to Go Live.
Outside of your client-facing and advisory work, you will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Deloitte’s SAP practice. We are looking for leaders of the future, and we offer training to ensure every Consultant has the potential to make it to the top. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically over 10 years) in SAP functional roles, with a focus on manufacturing processes.
- Proven expertise in SAP modules relevant to manufacturing, such as SAP PP, QM, and MM.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders across various functions.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration technologies.
- Certification in relevant SAP modules or project management methodologies is advantageous.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
