With resilience top of mind for businesses and regulators, demand for our team’s Operational Resilience expertise is growing rapidly. As market leaders, we are looking for passionate, high-performing Senior Managers to join our team in Sydney.
What will your typical day look like?
At Deloitte, no two days are alike. Our day-to-day varies across client engagements, business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing on programs of work that will ultimately build, enhance and test the Operational Resilience of our strategic clients. Depending on the engagement, this may involve assessing and benchmarking our clients' Operational Resilience capabilities against regulatory requirements and better practices, developing and implementing frameworks, policies, procedures and controls, or helping them transform how they effectively manage operational risk in a highly disruptive, interconnected and tech- and data-enabled ecosystem.
Each project will come with its own unique problem statement. As a Senior Manager in the team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside carefully curated and dynamic teams tailored to client needs, with each team member bringing rich perspectives and skillsets. About the team
Deloitte’s Risk and Resilience practice sits in our Strategy, Risk and Transactions business unit. We work with clients across all key sectors, with a strong focus on Banking, Superannuation, Wealth, and Insurance.
Our teams are currently supporting several of Australia’s largest and most iconic organisations with some of the most complex and challenging regulatory implementation and crisis response programs of our times.
We deliver a range of services to support our clients’ end-to-end enterprise resilience needs across Operational Resilience and Financial Resilience and have set ourselves apart in the professional services market by bringing deep expertise combined with holistic and measured solutions that are contemporary, pragmatic and battle-tested.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Operational Resilience-related disciplines including operational risk management, business continuity management and/or service provider management
• Experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
• A comprehensive understanding of the how operational risk, business continuity and service provider management and closely linked and converge to support holistic risk management across an organisation
• Experience leading teams to conduct reviews and assessments to identify gaps and formulate appropriate and pragmatic recommendations
• Experience developing and implementing operational resilience-related frameworks, policies and procedures within complex environment
• An understanding of regulatory requirements related to Operational Resilience, including but not limited to CPS 220, CPS 230, CPS 231 and CPS 232
• Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
• Proven leadership skills to lead and manage engagement teams and projects, ensuring consistent and high quality output
• An ability to apply critical thinking, solve complex problems and provide pragmatic solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and rapport with external and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• A collaborative mindset to deliver positive and high-quality outcomes for clients
• Experience and a desire to coach and mentor team members, and be a visible leader in our team
