Within the Deloitte Risk and Compliance team, we are looking for individuals with a passion for driving clients' successful business outcomes.  We consider ourselves - hybrid risk, compliance and technology.  The role will require attributes across broad business and technology leadership as well as specific skill sets with the Ab Initio technology platform. 

 

What will your typical day look like?
•    Solid understanding of the banking and financial services landscape, the regulations that are applied to this landscape and how through technology we can help our clients meet their goals;
•    In many cases this means working with other teams within Deloitte collegiately in order to fully understand the client and working to deliver for them;
•    Understanding the regulation that clients are having to meet and the best ways in which to do this holistically across regulation, systems, data, people and process;
•    Interactions with senior client executives, leaders and project implementation teams.

The Data Risk and Compliance Insights team in Deloitte’s Risk Advisory business area aspires to have an impact that matters by helping our clients to see the value in risk using intelligent data capabilities. Our team of experts is embedded in our clients’ transformation and remediation agendas and are constantly curious about combining our industry and technology expertise to build trust in data, unleashing its full potential to create and protect value for all stakeholders.

 

We work with some of the largest and most respected organisations in Australia on real world problems and across all stages of the data transformation journey from designing the change required, to delivering and managing that change and providing assurance around change initiatives.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
Your combined structured thinking, subject matter expertise and passion for the field will help shape opportunities, support sales and lead end-to-end project delivery. You are someone with:
•    10+ years of experience in data, risk and compliance data;
•    Solid understanding of risk, compliance & regulation, and its impact on the data required to meet these;
•    Advanced levels of experience across the Ab Initio platform and component stack; 
•    Knowledge of specific business fields within BFSI;
•    Knowledge of credit risk, market risk, treasury, credit cards, general insurance[;
•    Strong oral and written communication skills (including presentations, workshopping, facilitation and negotiations);
•    Ability to apply structured problem-solving, technical skills and knowledge to design project approach and lead others in delivery;
•    Passion for people development, including coaching and managing teams. You will have the ability to lead people effectively and build strong rapport and relationships with both our team and client peers;
•    A strong track record of business development with experience in developing proposals.
