Deloitte Legal is a fast-growing Australian incorporated legal practice with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane Perth, and Adelaide.

The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our practice which has experienced significant growth over the past 18 months. In addition to engagement delivery and execution, this position will play a critical role to mentor and develop talent to maintain our position as a market leader in this space.
You will be primarily responsible for:
- delivery of engagements, including designing and delivering client workshops, analysing and drawing insights from legal ops datasets and liaising with client and internal stakeholders
- project management to keep projects on time and within budget
- assisting clients to assess, select and implement market leading legal technology solutions
- reviewing and designing target legal operating models and better ways of working
- developing and delivering thought leadership and client labs on the latest thinking and trends across legal transformation, technology, AI and legal sourcing strategy, and
- business development and the continued growth and expansion of the practice.
What skills do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in law and admitted solicitor (preferred), data science and IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Relevant professional training and/or qualifications such as Prince2, PMI/APM, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma are an advantage.
- At least eight years of experience in legal operations, legal transformation, project management or management consulting, preferably in a consulting, inhouse legal or law firm environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in legal technology (e.g. matter management, CLM, eBilling and AI), including their configuration and implementation.
- Demonstrable understanding of the challenges and requirements of an in-house legal department.
- Proven experience shaping and managing complex change and transformation projects, with a focus on legal or contracts projects, either as an external consultant or internal change agent.
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts and requirements into clear and concise business terms and outcomes.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strategic thinking with an eye for new client offerings or internal improvements and experience of supporting business development activities
- A flexible, can-do approach and positive mind-set. You enjoy working as part of diverse teams to overcome challenges and exceed client expectations
- Continuous learning and improvement mindset, with the ability to seek and apply feedback and new knowledge
- Thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
