We are Deloitte Digital’s Experimentation Team

At Deloitte Digital, our Experimentation team partners with large corporate clients to drive their digital growth through strategic experimentation programs. Formerly known as Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), our approach has evolved but the core objective remains the same: leveraging data-driven insights to enhance user experiences and maximise conversion rates. As a full-service team, we cover every aspect of the experimentation lifecycle, including strategy, design, development, QA, and reporting. This role particularly focuses on the UX Design component, designing and implementing tests across our clients' platforms.

Access to the world’s biggest clients.

Deloitte’s clients are our clients. As the world’s largest professional services company, we have the opportunity to work with the most eminent brands from across Australia and APAC. From blue chip corporations to innovative start-ups, helping them adapt to and harness new media and technology.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Experimentation UX Designer, you’ll spend your time designing and iterating on prototypes that are ready for testing, collaborating with program managers and analysts to develop clear, testable hypotheses around user behaviour. You’ll plan and facilitate user testing sessions, gather qualitative insights, and analyse quantitative results to inform your design decisions.

Whether you're mapping out testable variations of a new feature, refining success metrics, or helping teams prioritise what to test, you'll be the go-to expert on translating design intent into experiments. You’ll work closely with engineers to ensure design solutions are feasible and implemented as intended, while mentoring team members on best practices for integrating UX and experimentation. Beyond individual tests, you'll play a key role in maturing our experimentation culture, improving tooling, and embedding experimentation as a natural part of the design and product development process.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in experimentation, data science, UX research, product analytics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a UX designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design solutions informed by research and data.
  • Proven ability to design and iterate using experimentation methods such as A/B tests, and multivariate tests to evaluate product changes or customer experiences.
  • Experience planning, conducting, and analysing both qualitative and quantitative user research, including usability testing, remote user testing, and prototype validation.
  • Ability to synthesise complex user insights and experiment results into clear design recommendations and actionable user stories.
  • Experience collaborating closely with program managers, engineers, and analysts, to translate user needs and business goals into testable design hypotheses.
  • Strong background mentoring and educating stakeholders on experimentation design principles, fostering a culture of data-informed testing and continuous learning.
  • Proficient in communicating design decisions and experiment outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms (e.g. Optimizely & Adobe Target).
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to both execute and oversee high-fidelity design work.
