Senior Engineering Lead, AWS
Sydney, NSW, AU
Job Requisition ID: 42136
-
Lead the architecture and delivery of secure, enterprise-scale AWS platforms, while shaping how Deloitte builds with AI across major client environments.
-
Tackle big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation
-
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
This is a Senior Manager opportunity in Deloitte's Engineering, AI & Data practice in Australia, where you'll lead complex AWS platform work that helps clients modernise securely and scale with confidence.
What will your typical day look like?
You'll set technical direction across multiple client engagements, owning solution architecture from early design through to production. That includes shaping secure multi-account AWS environments, guiding cloud-native platform decisions, and putting strong review processes in place for architecture, code and AI-assisted output.
Working closely with clients, delivery leads and engineering teams, you'll help solve large-scale platform, security and resilience challenges. Your judgement will matter in deciding where AI can accelerate delivery, where deterministic engineering is critical, and how to maintain high standards for operational quality, compliance and performance.
Across the practice, you'll coach engineers, uplift technical capability and help shape how we deliver. Expect a mix of hands-on architecture leadership, client partnership, mentoring and practice development, including contributing to standards, accelerators and new opportunities in AI-native engineering.
About the team
Our Engineering practice helps organisations use cloud and AI to solve complex, high-value problems. It's a space where modern AWS architecture, DevSecOps, enterprise migration and emerging AI patterns come together to help clients move faster with confidence.
