Are you ready to join Deloitte as a People Function Strategy & Operations Senior Consultant and tackle the toughest strategy challenges across diverse industries with our dynamic, motivated team?
We’re looking for future strategic advisors and executive relationship builders who are excited about developing breadth and depth across people-related capabilities and industry topics and have a passion for tackling a variety of business, technological, and organisational challenges head-on. You will:
- Be part of expanding a dynamic, fast growing, top tier human capital strategy consulting practice
- Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients define and act upon their strategic choices
- Re-design People functions from the ground-up, unlocking new value and new ways of thinking about service delivery, catalysed by AI
- Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in AI, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics, Human Capital consulting and experience from our global consulting network.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant your core focus is being part of a project delivery team, shaping deliverables and taking a leadership role for junior team and/or a workstream within a project. In addition to this, you will contribute to business development, thought leadership and team sales.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include;
- Working largely independently to lead a stream of work including, determining client problems and co-designing options / solutions with clients in a structured and logical manner, as well as developing deliverable structures and presenting outputs to senior stakeholders
- Developing strong client relationships to deliver projects on-time and to clients’ expectations
- Directing junior practitioners in the delivery of work and coaching them to develop their own strategy consulting capabilities
- Contributing to practice and business development activities e.g. through the development best practice methodologies, thought leadership material and/or sales materials
What work will you do?
- Redesigning the People function – we design and implement operating models which enable the People function of the future – using AI to rethink traditional service delivery models and unlock new forms of value for the enterprise
- People strategy and employee experience - we focus on building the culture and capabilities People functions need to deliver. New technologies, platforms, processes and systems are meaningless without the capability to leverage them to
the fullest. - Technology strategy - we provide strategic technology advisory services, including business case, vendor selection and roadmap creation, including how best to leverage emerging AI technologies. Our work in this area allows us to build credibility and relationships early with our clients, set the stage for ongoing transformation and implementation work, and bring innovative, creative solutions to our clients that differentiate us in the marketplace.
- Operational effectiveness - we optimise core processes to keep People functions relevant – think processes honed by design thinking, applications tuned with digital technology and services tailored for a seamless employee experience. We help organisations put disruptive trends to work in an operating model built to deliver impact the business value.
About the team
Sitting within Human Capital Consulting, our team are:
- Strategic advisors to the executive teams of our key clients with an ability to look at the People function objectively and holistically.
- Technology specialists with an ability to provide solution-agnostic advice based on our understanding of how technology enables an organisation’s broader transformation agenda.
- Transformation specialists that bring a transformation lens to all stages of a technology implementation.
- Service designers who can reimagine the employee experience and understand how to bring it to life in practice
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
We are keen to speak with individuals from a background in Consulting, Strategy or Transformation roles. To succeed you will have the following experience and attributes:
- You have 3-5 years proven experience with demonstrated evidence of operating in a fast-paced project delivery environment
- You have experience in operating model design and implementation, and a good working knowledge of technology, data and AI
- You demonstrate social perceptiveness, by listening well and being able to incorporate feedback into personal development and professional growth.
- You have a design mindset, delivering a unique and customised customer service solution by using logic, imagination, intuition, and systemic reasoning to explore possibilities of what could be and by as a means of creating the desired outcomes that benefit the end user.
- You are passionate about personal development. You understand what drives you and you actively seek feedback from your peers as well as leaders. You take action on the feedback received and seek challenging and meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
- You’re able to collaborate and work as part of a team. You are attentive to the needs of others and understand what needs to be done in order to achieve collective success. You provide meaningful contributions when on a team and never hesitate to help others when needed.
- You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends
- You’re able to demonstrate previous experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering quality commitments on time
- You have strong business acumen, with ability to quickly translate theoretical concepts into practical outcomes that deliver business value
