Senior Consultant -Resource Management

Description: 

Perfect role for a resource management or workforce planning professional with a balance of solid stakeholder engagement, metrics, planning and customer service experience.

What will your typical day look like?
Your key responsibility in this role is to ensure that optimal resourcing solutions are identified for our audit clients, the business and the individual, in a timely and commercially sound manner. You will proactively work with the business to manage demand, supply and capability: deploying staff on engagements, identifying the most suitable person in terms of their skills and career aspirations, as well as focusing on profitability, engagement metrics and client service delivery.

You will be involved in planning for future audit engagements through developing strong relationships both with practitioners and the business unit Principals and Partners to understand their respective needs.

The Resource Management looks after identifying, negotiating, allocating and managing the resources, such as individuals and their skills, finances, required for a project. This team ensures that internal resources are used effectively on time and to budget and advises business about best resourcing practices & works with high level of excel proficiency.

The Audit & Assurance business in Australia serves many of the largest publicly owned companies, private businesses and the three tiers of government. You are someone with: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in resource management, recruitment and/or operations
  • Experience either in audit resource planning or a practitioner with audit experience looking to change careers
  • An ability to build strong relationships with strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource management or workforce planning, with experience in professional services being an advantage.
  • Experience preparing, interpreting, and analysing data and reports.
  • Previous experience in either resourcing, auditing, financial planning and or operations
  • Strong MS Office skills in particular MS Excel.
  • A high level of attention to detail, who is a highly organised self-starter.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling conflicting priorities.
