What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in the Quality and Risk team, you will provide critical risk insights and oversight to our Tax and Legal (T&L) business, which includes over 160 partners and 1,200 staff. Your work will be diverse, offering significant opportunities to develop your risk management skills, build relationships with T&L and the Risk community, and enhance your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide risk insight on complex client or engagement acceptance matters.
- Work on projects involving new technology platforms, regulatory issues, or new product offerings.
- Develop and deliver training and communication initiatives to improve T&L operations.
- Collaborate with T&L partners, engagement teams, and the broader Quality and Risk community, including the Office of General Counsel, Business Security Office, and Independence and Conflicts team.
- Expect each day to be different and fast-paced. You will face rewarding challenges as you support T&L through significant regulatory changes and embrace technology to enhance service delivery.

Our National Quality and Risk team is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the Deloitte brand. Highly regarded by the business, you will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders at all levels, from Analysts to Partners, helping them navigate and resolve complex issues.

You are someone with:
- Has 2+ years of experience in a Risk Management or Tax and Legal role within Deloitte.
- Holds qualifications in accounting, risk management, and/or law.
- Is keen to advance a career in risk management.
- Possesses strong organisational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in an agile environment.
- Excels in building relationships and communicating effectively across various stakeholders and functions.
- Is capable of working independently and providing autonomous advice.
- Can handle conflict and difficult conversations professionally.
- Is adaptable to daily task management based on business needs.
- Is self-driven, motivated, and continuously seeks to learn.
- Enjoys coaching and supervising junior staff.
- Works well in a team, collaborating for collective success.
- Has a natural curiosity and desire to understand the business context of your work.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
