Enough about us, let’s talk about you
We are seeking a skilled Informatica Information Management Engineer with strong experience in data integration and PowerCenter to Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) migrations using the PC2IDMC tool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, managing data quality and governance processes, and leading the migration of legacy PowerCenter assets to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute migration projects from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC (IICS) using the PC2IDMC migration tool.
- Analyze existing PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and dependencies to assess cloud migration readiness.
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes in IDMC post-migration, ensuring parity and performance improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after migration, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to support migration strategy and implementation.
- Develop and maintain documentation on migration processes, mapping designs, and data integration flows.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Implement and support metadata management and data lineage using tools like Informatica EDC.
- Ensure all solutions meet compliance, data security, and governance requirements.
- Monitor ETL jobs and provide operational support for both legacy and modernized platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or IDMC (IICS).
- Proven experience in PC2IDMC tool-based migrations from PowerCenter to IDMC.
- Strong knowledge of ETL development, performance tuning, and workflow orchestration.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
