We are seeking an exceptional Senior Consultant, Independence to join the Quality & Risk Independence & Conflicts team! This an opportunity to make a meaningful client impact, contribute to major opportunities, and set Deloitte apart in the market.
What will your typical day look like?
As a member of the Independence team within Deloitte's Quality and Risk group, you'll play a key role in providing crucial support and advice to ensure timely identification, evaluation and management of independence matters. You'll thrive in an interactive, fast-paced environment where your day involves offering expert advice and solutions to help the business navigate independence matters.
Day to day you’ll engage with partners and employees across the firm on various issues. You'll provide advice to the business on independence matters relating to client engagements and business relationships, conduct detailed independence checks, liaise with independence counterparts in other geographies, and help maintain internal independence compliance systems. Conducting and project managing our client independence testing and monitoring programs will also be part of your role.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and other Deloitte employees to tackle complex scenarios. Your contribution in projects aimed at enhancing our processes, systems, tools, and documentation will be essential, driving improvements in our independence management practices.
Training and educating our people on independence matters will also be central to your role. You'll equip colleagues with the knowledge and skills to handle independence matters effectively, and you'll support team managers with training and developing junior members.

You will have a positive attitude, be willing to learn and be a confident communicator. You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- 3+ years of prior experience in quality and risk management, within professional services, audit or taxation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and understand policy and apply it to real-life scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to articulate risk assessment findings and remediation requirements effectively.
- Demonstrated project management skills, coupled with the ability to manage various workstreams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with independence compliance and relevant regulatory frameworks would be advantageous.
- A detail-oriented mindset, focused on delivering accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work.
