As a Senior Consultant in the Financial Risk Advisory & Transformation team, you will work with a wide range of clients across Financial Services, Telcos and Utilities who are looking to improve their practices using analytical techniques, regulatory advice and practical solutions.

What will your typical day look like?
•    Design regulatory strategy assessments to analyse requirements and challenges across the current and future regulatory horizon.
•    Define and implement strategies and governance frameworks to identify, manage and mitigate future regulatory changes.
•    Assist clients in regulatory engagements, supervisory reviews, and compliance with risk governance standards.
•    Identify, idealise and implement value and efficiency, creating solutions to credit risk challenges.
•    Develop strategies to optimise credit decisioning, risk appetite, and portfolio risk management.
•    Drive technological transformation and innovation to solve complex challenges in risk, regulation, conduct and compliance. 
•    Advise on emerging trends in credit risk technology, including AI-driven credit scoring, automation, and fintech solutions.
•    Transform the ways clients leverage people, technology, data, business processes and controls, to better manage risks and optimise processes. 
•    Devise and deploy effective communication strategies and supporting materials.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
•    4-5 years’ experience either in industry or with professional services firms, both globally and here in Australia.
•    Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, mathematics, data science, engineering or equivalent fields.
•    Previous industry experience working across the three lines of defence including credit risk management teams within retail, corporate or investment banking. 
•    Knowledge of the regulatory landscape, competitive ecosystem, processes, products and technology of the domestic and global financial services sector. 
•    A good understanding of the risks and controls across the end-to-end transaction lifecycle in regulated financial institutions.
•    Experience with supporting deliverables within large scale change management and operating model programs in banking and/or investment management. 
•    A structured thinker with sound technical BA skills who has a proven capability in analysing complex client challenges to identify opportunities, and design innovative solutions across the financial services sector.
•    Business communication and presentation skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
•    Intermediate to advanced MS office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
•    Visualisation and reporting analytics skills by using at least one of Tableau, Power BI or Alteryx (preferable).
•    Sound technical grounding in at least one of SAS, SQL or R Programming (preferable).
•    Experience in visual communication of analysis (e.g. SAS VA, Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI) is highly desirable.
•    Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in following processes and procedures.
•    A proactive mindset and approach are a must, as is a curious mind and a thirst to learn.
