What will your typical day look like?
As Senior Consultants in our Finance Transformation team, you will working alongside a team of Deloitte’s brightest minds to analyse clients’ needs and requirements for transforming their Finance function; you will be utilising your financial modelling skills and knowledge to redesign finance structure, processes, enabling systems and business partnering capabilities; Design and embed end-to-end business process improvements to enhance customer experience, improve efficiency and productivity and/or reduce costs; Leverage your superb interpersonal skills and remarkable business sense to support the wider team in business development.

Our high-performing and collaborative team offers CFOs advice to enable and optimise our clients’ finance strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with the organisation’s long-term goals. We primarily seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations at all stages of the Finance transformation journey from designing the change required, to delivering and managing that change and providing assurance around change initiatives.
You will be an integral part of a leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, be active contributor to our vibrant, inclusive and high performing culture and generate real insights to deliver value to our clients,
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Finance Transformation, preferably in a consulting environment (but a combination with relevant industry experience will be considered).
- Strategic problem solving, commercial acumen, creative analysis, critical thinking and storytelling/communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely and being able to work well with senior stakeholders and internal teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams (including international teams)
- Experienced using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint etc. to build business models and analyse data and MS PowerPoint to build & deliver recommendations.
- Willing to travel as needed to meet client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Additional experience and qualification on the following areas are highly desirable:
- Experience supporting technology transformation initiatives
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), EPM systems (e.g. SAC, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning) and emerging technologies (e.g., RPA, AI, data analytics)
- Hands on Finance Experience in areas such as Strategy, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Controlling, Business Partnering, Finance Operations
