We are seeking a talented Senior Consultant to join our Digital Banking Solutions team based in Sydney. This is a permanent role that will support you in growing your career, working across a number of exciting client projects and an opportunity to be part of a market-leading team.

 

 

What will your typical day look like?

 

This is an exciting career opportunity for a career focused Senior Consultant to join our Digital Banking Solutions Team and immerse yourself in the modernisation and digitisation of the banking industry. We have a deep understanding of the banking industry and have a breadth of complementary skills across banking strategy, operating model, business and solution architecture, engineering, and delivery. In this role you’ll partner with clients to help them solve the wickedest problems and also to re-imagine tomorrow.

Our clients trust us to support them through periods of change and help them deliver on complex challenges to their business, from project inception to completion. Not only will you be involved in defining solutions which deliver specific business and technological outcomes, you will have a key role in influencing clients devise their strategic journeys. Great communication skills are essential as you will be engaged across senior client roles helping solve complex business problems and day-to-day engagement management.and collaborate with the partners to deliver extraordinary results for our clients.

You will work alongside a talented team, applying your expertise to solve complex client problems. Your passion for continuous learning along with your ability to communicate and build strong relationships, will position you as a trusted advisor with your clients. Known for your strong project management skills and your ability to perform under pressure, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions.

 

 

About the team

 

Deloitte’s Digital Banking Solutions client service team supports some of Deloitte’s largest clients nationally across a variety of industries.

 

You will report directly to the partner in Digital Banking Solutions, and work with specialist teams, who go sector and domain deep while orchestrating the right people, process, and technology to make the future real and prioritise client success.

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

 

You may have all or some of the following skills/experience:

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client-facing/advisory role in a Consulting environment
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in banking strategy with a lens on technology
  • Strong experience in complex projects in one or more of the following capacities: solution designer, solution architect, functional or technical business analyst
  • Experience in one or more of the following capability areas: core technology modernisation, customer onboarding, assisted channels, automation, contact centre, lending transformation, payment and cards management (NPP, BPAY, DD, APN).
  • A strong analytical mindset supported by a quick learning ability to deliver quality outcomes with pride.
  • Business storytelling, workshop design and facilitation and strong presentation skills
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills with experience communicating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in business case development with a clear understanding of cost and benefit levers and providing comprehensive recommendations
  • Experience in developing formal reports and presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deconstruct complex problems and ideas into simplified, structured solutions
  • A drive to challenge the status quo to provide clarity and improve the overall outcomes for our clients.
  • A natural flair for teamwork, proactivity, with willingness to get your hands dirty and get things done and values success of the team.
  • An understanding of banking technologies including cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or domain-based integration
  • One or more certifications in Cloud solution Architect or/and BIAN is highly desirable
  • Experience designing or delivering AI solutions in a banking context are highly desirable
