Senior Consultant Corporate Development

Our internal Corporate Development team, which assists Deloitte’s five business units with inorganic growth initiatives, is currently seeking a talented professional to assist in the development of our M&A strategy, and in the identification and prioritisation of potential transactions. Inorganic growth is an important part of Deloitte’s growth strategy and Deloitte has been extremely active in M&A over the last decade, joining with a diverse range of business, from Access Economics to Presence of IT.

The role will see you:

  • Conduct market and competitor scans from a strategic point of view including the development of detailed company profiles
  • Analyse investment opportunities and identify key drivers and commercial assumptions
  • Serve as an adviser to business unit leaders and executives when assessing M&A opportunities

To succeed in this role, you will be a strong team player with excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and diligent under pressure.
You’ll also have: 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Strategy Consulting
  • Experience in Corporate Development, M&A Advisory or Investment Banking advising on small and large transactions from start to finish is desirable
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial skills including experience working on complex financial transactions with limited supervision
  • Undergraduate degree in finance and/or accounting 
  • A proactive attitude and excellent problem solving skills 
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
