What will your typical day look like?
At Deloitte, no two days are alike. Our day-to-day varies across client engagements and business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing on programs of work that will ultimately provide vital assessment, design and implementation of regulatory compliance engagements for some of Australia’s largest and most significant financial services entities. Depending on the engagement, this may involve assessing and benchmarking our clients' compliance operating models, frameworks and capabilities against regulatory requirements and advise on achieving class-leading capabilities. This includes but is not limited to developing and implementing frameworks, policies, procedures and controls, or transform how they meet regulatory requirements through technology and data.
Each project will come with its own unique problem statement. As a Senior Analyst or Manager in the team, you will have the opportunity to support your Leaders in delivering quality outcomes for our clients, working alongside other team members who will bring rich perspectives and skillsets. About the team
Deloitte’s Risk and Regulatory practice sits in our Strategy, Risk and Transactions business unit. While your work will be focused on markets regulation, we also work with clients across all key sectors, with a strong focus on Banking, Superannuation, Wealth, and Insurance.
We deliver a range of services to support our clients to adapt to regulatory change and prepare and respond to regulatory action. Enough about us, let's talk about you.
You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
• A minimum of 3 years experience in financial markets compliance, either as a regulator, or within a markets compliance team.
• A good understanding of the how financial services entities and markets operate and are regulated domestically and globally.
• Experience conducting reviews and assessments to identify gaps and formulate appropriate and pragmatic recommendations.
• Experience developing and implementing compliance and governance operating models, risk control frameworks and policies and procedures within complex environment.
• Sound project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
• Effective leadership skills to lead and manage junior team members, ensuring consistent and high quality output.
• An ability to apply critical thinking, solve complex problems and provide pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and rapport with external and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• A collaborative mindset to deliver positive and high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Experience and a desire to coach and mentor team members, and be a visible leader in our team.
