Opportunity to work as a Senior Analyst on exciting innovation programs within a supportive and highly experienced team.

 

What will your typical day look like?  

As a Senior Analyst in our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) team, you will further develop your core skills in preparing Research and Development (R&D) Tax Incentive claims and other government incentive applications. As a part of this role, you’ll gain valuable experience working with our key clients across a broad range of industries and sectors, from emerging start-ups to well-known brands and multinationals.

 

You will be guided by senior practitioners and will progressively take on responsibilities such as project scoping, conducting interviews, calculating eligible expenditure, supporting audit defence, and contributing to business development. You will collaborate closely with client technical, tax, and finance teams, as well as internal colleagues, to deliver high-quality, impactful outcomes for our clients.

 

You will be challenged with complex and strategic projects as you assist in delivering market-leading R&D tax consulting services in an efficient and proactive manner. Most importantly, you will be exposed to the latest industry innovation and R&D.

 

About the team

Our Gi3 service line in Australia is part of a global network with over 450 dedicated practitioners across the world. Our Australian Gi3 team includes PhD qualified scientists, industry professionals, engineers, technologists, chartered accountants, and lawyers. Our team works to assist our clients in undertaking new investment and innovation by identifying and securing government support to realise their plans. This involves identifying key projects, seeking to understand how and why these may be eligible for government support, and assisting to access specific applicable incentive programs to generate a successful outcome.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

 

You are someone with:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Information Technology, with an Accounting or Law double degree, or post-graduate degree being highly regarded
  • 1-4 years’ professional (advisory and consulting) experience with the R&D Tax Incentive programme
  • Technical writing and communication skills, with previous experience authoring academic papers, whitepapers, articles and/or tech blog posts will be highly regarded
  • An ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and comfortably (verbal and written) to a variety of stakeholders including a company’s executive, finance, tax, and technical business functions
  • An enthusiastic proactive work approach and an eagerness to learn about cutting-edge and emerging technologies
  • An ability to multitask and work either autonomously or collaboratively with a team across various projects  
  • An ability to provide quality work in a fast-paced environment whilst showing a strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
