Take the next step in your audit career as a Senior Analyst in our Sydney Audit team, where you will take on meaningful and varied work, and be supported by a team that’s genuinely invested in helping you grow.

 

What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Analyst in our External Audit team, you’ll play a key role in delivering audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, from planning right through to completion. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues to analyse financial information, review supporting documentation, evaluate controls and identify key business and financial risks. Along the way, you’ll contribute to technical discussions, share your knowledge with junior team members and help deliver high-quality outcomes that make a real impact for clients.

This is a role that offers variety, challenge and plenty of opportunity to grow. No two days will be the same as you build trusted client relationships, manage competing priorities and strengthen your professional judgement through hands-on experience and ongoing support from senior leaders. You’ll also have the chance to collaborate with specialists across Deloitte, broaden your technical expertise and shape a career that can take you in many different directions.

About the team

This role sits within our Global and Private Audit team, where you’ll work with some of the world’s largest and best-known global companies, private businesses and ASX-listed organisations across industries including Consumer, Real Estate, TMT, Healthcare and Private Equity.

You’ll collaborate with specialists across Technical Accounting, Audit Quality, Technology and Internal Controls, Tax & Legal, Risk Advisory and Consulting, while gaining exposure to global teams, overseas opportunities and internal mobility pathways.

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • CA qualifications (or equivalent) with professional services experience
  • More than 4 years’ experience in external audit
  • Experience leading engagements as senior-in-charge or lead auditor
  • Strong understanding of audit planning, controls and financial risk assessment
  • Experience working across complex or multi-entity audit engagements
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information
