About the team and role

In Business Assurance specifically within the controls advisory and assurance specialist team, we help enable our clients to create world-class operations. We have confidence in their financial reporting by assessing and providing insights on the organisation processes and controls, resulting in enhanced capabilities, efficiency, cost reduction, reduced risk, and improved performance.


Our services are often triggered by disruptive events such as transactions, including M&A, IPOs or, changes in accounting or regulatory environments or control failures.


We work on a variety of engagements including;

  • Developing internal controls and governance in preparation for an IPO or M&A and transitioning to a public company or new ownership;
  • Responding to control failures and/or fraud;
  • Providing insights and advice to enhance the control operating model
  • Assisting in set up, documentation and evaluation of control frameworks
  • Working alongside system implementation projects to align and improve associated processes and controls
  • Respond to regulatory change or developments such as SOX

You will be joining a dynamic passionate professional team within Deloitte's Business Assurance business. Our portfolio of clients includes some of the largest names in Australia and globally.

We are looking for ambitious Senior Analysts with 3-4 years of experience with a combination of the following:  

  • Audit, assurance or advisory background plus industry or client-side experience
  • Experience in driving change in finance organisation, processes and controls
  • Experience supporting clients through transformational events (i.e. IPOs, M&A, regulatory change) and enjoy the challenge of working with finance teams navigate challenges and develop innovative solutions
  • Thrive in a team environment, are known for strong relationship management and demonstrate high levels of initiative.
  • Track record of leading teams and developing junior team members to reach their potential
  • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills which are highly regarded and position you as a trusted advisor with your stakeholders.
