Senior AI & Cloud Security Engineer

Date:  29 Oct 2026
Location:

Sydney, NSW, AU

Department:  Enabling Areas
Description:

Job Requisition ID: 42164

  • Help shape how Deloitte secures both its cloud estate today and its emerging AI estate as new controls and platforms come online.

  • Tackle big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation

  • Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters

Join Deloitte as a Senior AI & Cloud Security Engineer, where you'll strengthen our cloud security platforms from day one and help build the next chapter of our AI security capability as it matures.

What will your typical day look like?

At the core of this role is the operation and improvement of our cloud security posture and workload protection controls across Azure, AWS and GCP. You'll tune CSPM and CNAPP platforms, manage container and workload runtime protection, and work through posture findings with engineering teams to reduce recurring risk at the source.

A big part of the impact comes from making security practical and visible. That includes automating workflows through APIs and integrations across tools like SIEM and ITSM, and building dashboards and reporting that help both technical and executive audiences understand posture, priorities and progress.

As the capability grows, this role expands into AI security. You'll help operate AI security controls as they're onboarded, support the rollout of AI-SPM and AI runtime defence tooling, maintain discovery and inventory for AI systems, applications and agents, and work with detection and incident response teams by providing telemetry, platform context and tuning input.

About the team

Our Cloud Security & AI Security team owns the platforms protecting our cloud estate and, increasingly, our AI estate. Cloud security platform operations is the core of the job from day one, with AI security representing a chance to extend that same rigour into emerging areas like AI DLP, access controls, AI runtime defence and AI-SPM. It's a team backed by mature cloud security platforms and experienced practitioners, with real scope to help shape the future operating model for AI governance and protection.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • Strong security engineering or cyber operations experience, with real depth in cloud security

  • Hands-on experience operating enterprise cloud security platforms such as CSPM, CNAPP, workload protection or container protection

  • Depth in at least one major cloud platform, with familiarity across Azure, AWS or GCP

  • Automation, API and platform integration experience - you would rather script it than repeat it

  • A track record of partnering with engineering teams to fix issues, not just report them

  • Experience with technologies such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, ServiceNow, Kubernetes or comparable platforms

  • Exposure to AI security, GenAI or LLM security, AI-SPM, or security posture management platforms

  • Nice to have: familiarity with AI agent and MCP ecosystem security, policy-as-code, OpenTelemetry, JFrog or AI runtime defence tooling
