Resource Management Consultant

Exciting opportunity for a Resource Management Consultant, to grow their experience and drive impactful change in the business, supporting our Risk Advisory practice. This is a multi-focused role, involving workforce planning and demand, stakeholder management, team and career development, contractor management, skills planning and levelling & upskilling.   
What will your typical day look like? 
You will oversee demand, supply and capability: deploying staff on engagements, identifying the most suitable person in terms of their skills and career aspirations, in a timely and commercially sound manner. You will also confirm staff availability & maintain schedule accuracy, follow up on actual vs forecast variances, make new resource bookings, identify engagement conflicts and assist with administration in onboarding of contractors. You will be responsible for a portfolio, supporting a Senior Consultant and Manager. 
Other key responsibilities include: 
•    Hold and attend resourcing meetings and conversations on resource requirements and utilisation. Providing meeting notes, reports and insights around resource management, and spotting trends. 
•    Develop strong relationships with our Practitioners and the Portfolio Directors and Partners to understand their respective needs. 
About the team 
The Resource Management team is responsible for the end to end Resourcing of the Risk Advisory Business. In doing this we maximise resource deployment to enable a smooth delivery to our clients. Through line of service and cross line of service resourcing; forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering, skills & aspirations, development and diversity initiatives. The position will require a strong attention to detail, effective time management and stakeholder management.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you 
You will be someone with a genuine interest in both the human and business side of resource management. You will be responsible for developing strong client relationships, ensuring client collaboration, teamwork and optimal communications, in order to deliver outstanding results. 
You are a highly motivated team player and are focused on developing confidence in building relationships; someone who starts to take ownership of tasks until their completion; and has good humour and ability to withstand stress. You are an analytical and inquisitive individual, with the ability to identify and spot trends and behaviours. 
Additionally, you will have the following: 

An ability to build relationships with strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work in an agile/dynamic, National role – in a virtual environment – and in process orientated team. 
Experience preparing and interpreting reports; with strong MS Office skills in particular MS Excel; a high level of attention to detail 
Proactive and positive attitude coupled with energy, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with motivation and enthusiasm; always seeking to gain knowledge and understanding of the clients and business
