This is a Manager opportunity in our Quality Engineering team within Technology Consulting, where you'll help clients deliver large-scale technology change with confidence and quality built in from day one.

 

What will your typical day look like?

From shaping test strategies through to overseeing execution, you'll lead the planning, coordination and control of testing across complex programs. That could mean building fit-for-purpose test approaches, setting up traceability in Jira or Azure DevOps, managing defects through to resolution, and giving stakeholders a clear real-time view of delivery status.

Your work will help clients implement technology that is reliable, usable and aligned to real business outcomes. Rather than treating testing as a final checkpoint, you'll bring quality into the full delivery lifecycle so risks are identified early, teams stay focused on what matters, and solutions are ready for market with confidence.

Working across cross-functional teams, you'll collaborate with delivery leads, client stakeholders, engineers and testers to keep programs moving and standards high. There is plenty of variety in the role - from leading teams and mentoring others, to uplifting capability, applying Deloitte's delivery methodologies, and exploring how AI-enabled tools and agents can optimise test management and execution.

Our Technology Consulting practice helps organisations solve complex technology problems and turn major transformation programs into meaningful business outcomes. Within Quality Engineering, the focus is on building quality into delivery from the start - combining modern testing, automation, agile ways of working and practical delivery leadership to help clients launch with confidence and create lasting value.

 

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • Experience leading end-to-end testing across medium to large-scale programs, ideally in multi-vendor environments

  • Strong test management capability across planning, strategy, execution, defect management and reporting

  • Hands-on experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps for test coverage, traceability and delivery visibility

  • A solid understanding of agile at scale, waterfall delivery, release management and quality estimation

  • Knowledge of test automation, non-functional testing, systems monitoring and modern software engineering principles

  • Confidence leading inclusive, high-performing teams and coaching others to grow their capability

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the judgement to navigate competing priorities and difficult conversations

  • Exposure to using AI capabilities or agents to improve testing and quality engineering outcomes
