At Deloitte, we are seeking a dynamic Media & Brand Communications Specialist to help us strengthen and protect our brand through strategic media relations and creative communications. If you're passionate about storytelling, shaping narratives, and making a tangible impact, this role is your next challenge!

 

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, covering Parental Leave in our team. This is also a part-time position, working 30 hours a week.

 

What will your typical day look like?
Day to day you’ll be working on creating compelling media strategies, managing an agile team of communications specialists who support communications campaigns and create content across all channels and media. You will also support senior leaders on communications strategy and activation, and working with a talented communications team to ensure Deloitte’s voice resonates across all channels. 
You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, curating content that aligns with our business goals and managing communications plans that drive business growth. 
From drafting strategic communications plans to monitoring dashboards and providing real-time feedback, your work will enhance our brand presence and reputation. 
Each day will present opportunities to lead with creativity, support executive communications, and play a pivotal role in Deloitte’s media strategy.

 

About the team
The Media & Brand Communications team is responsible for the execution of the media and brand communications strategy focused on earned and owned channels. The team uses creative communications to strengthen and protect Deloitte’s brand and reputation through holistic and consistent communications across all external and internal channels.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • 3+ years of communications and/or media relations experience
  • Proven track record of executing media strategies and proactive media relations
  • Experience in project management, coordinating communications across multiple teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to work deftly across all media channels
  • A collaborative approach, working as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality work to tight deadlines
  • Commercial acumen with strong judgement and decision-making skills
  • An understanding of brand risk and reputation management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience
