  • Thrive in an innovative, collaborative people culture
  • Prioritise in-person connection with your team and clients, with flexibility to balance work and life
  • Opportunity to lead strategic sales and origination activity for Deloitte’s managed services offerings across Australia

We are looking for a Managing Director to join our National Operate team. This role will work with National Operate leadership, Business Units and Growth Enablement teams to drive the Operate strategy across Australia. This is a client-facing, market-making role primarily focused on driving sales and origination for Technology & IT focused managed services. Sydney is preferred; however, we are also open to considering Melbourne based candidates.

What will your typical day look like?

You will lead the pursuit and closure of strategic managed services opportunities, shaping differentiated value propositions that solve complex client challenges and drive growth. Working closely with client teams, solution specialists and senior leaders, you will help position Deloitte as a trusted partner in the market.

You will build executive-level client relationships, identify high-value opportunities and lead complex enterprise sales engagements from qualification through to close. You will also own deal strategy end-to-end, including pricing, commercial structuring, contract negotiation and financial modelling.

You will develop strategic account and pipeline plans, drive disciplined opportunity progression and maintain strong forecasting rigour. You will also bring together technical, delivery and solution teams to shape compelling proposals and clearly communicate the value of managed services to executive and non-technical stakeholders.

This is a rare opportunity to help grow Deloitte’s managed services business (Technology & IT focused) in Australia while contributing to the broader Operate strategy and transformation agenda. You will work across a diverse portfolio of opportunities and collaborate closely with teams across sales, delivery, growth and the broader firm.

About the team

The National Operate Team is responsible for the execution and management of the Operate strategy and provides thought leadership, sales and operational enablement and program oversight into delivery of the overall Operate agenda.

The Australian Operate strategy is aligned with our global Operate ambition to embed continuous advantage and is a core pillar of Deloitte’s aspirational transformation agenda centred on software assets, alliances, operate and delivery centres. We are confident our innovative culture and people will enable us to deliver on this ambition.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You will bring significant experience in enterprise sales across Technology & IT Managed Services (including AMS, CMS, Engineering) Services along with a strong track record of leading complex solution sales with enterprise clients. You will also demonstrate the ability to:

  • Lead and close complex, multi-year solution sales with enterprise clients.
  • Apply a strong consultative selling approach, aligning solutions to client business outcomes.
  • Engage and influence executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen across pricing, deal structuring and contract negotiation.
  • Develop and manage strategic sales pipelines and deliver against revenue targets.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions and business units, building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Bring resilience and adaptability in dynamic business environments.
  • Use CRM systems confidently to manage pipeline activity and forecasting.
