-
Help shape Deloitte's AI risk assurance capability while leading complex credit risk modelling and validation work for major financial institutions
-
Tackle big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation
-
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
Join Deloitte's Assurance practice as a Manager or Senior Manager in Melbourne or Sydney, where you'll use your quantitative risk expertise to help financial institutions respond to regulatory change and build confidence in credit and AI-driven decisions.
What will your typical day look like?
Complex quantitative work will sit at the heart of your role, from credit risk model development, validation and audit across PD, LGD and EAD models to the assurance of AI and machine learning models used in financial risk management. You could be leading validation activity, supporting model design, or helping clients understand how regulatory, accounting and AI governance changes affect their frameworks and portfolios.
The work has clear commercial and regulatory impact. Banks and non-bank lenders rely on these models to make lending, provisioning and capital decisions, so your insight will help them manage risk with greater confidence and stand up to increasing scrutiny from regulators and stakeholders.
Along the way, you'll work with senior leaders, quantitative specialists and client teams on problems that are technically deep and constantly evolving. One engagement might focus on established modelling approaches or stress testing, while another could involve black box techniques, explainability, bias testing or assurance methodologies for advanced AI and agentic systems.
About the team
Deloitte's Assurance practice helps clients build trust in their decisions, controls and reporting. Within that, the credit risk and quantitative modelling team works with financial institutions on model development, validation and monitoring across traditional and AI-enabled risk models. It's a team that brings together technical rigour, regulatory insight and real commercial relevance, with growing focus on how AI governance and model assurance will shape the future of financial risk.
Enough about us, let's talk about you
