Based in Sydney, we are looking for a manager who has a passion for helping clients manage and leverage data and AI technology to deliver on their strategic risk management mandate. You will be part of a team that brings skills in data management, processing, modelling, analysis and Generative AI.
 
What will your typical day look like?

Data Engineering / Analytics
•    Architect and build high-performance data pipelines using advanced data engineering and ETL practices for effective client solutions.
•    Lead/Leverage AI initiatives, especially generative AI, to accelerate client outcomes.
•    Create, maintain, and deploy analytical assets to support clients and expedite delivery.

Data Science
•    Develop and deploy practical models from large, ambiguous quality datasets to drive customer outcomes and inform senior decision-making.
•    Perform complex feature engineering on risk-related data to enhance model performance.

Additional Managerial Experience: 

•    Manage a portfolio of projects across a range of industries focusing on providing our clients with evidence based actionable insights 
•    Liaise with key stakeholders and clients to determine complex risks and design analytical solutions in response to these risks
•    Develop and lead the delivery of relevant communications to explain the output of work and data analysis to both internal and client stakeholders
•    Support business development activities including building solid business relationships internally and externally, developing marketing material, preparing proposals and participating in presentations
•    Identifying business opportunities for Risk & Regulatory Analytics
•    Developing our people through formal training programmes, on the job training and coaching.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You will have all of the following skills / experience:
•    3-5 years’ experience analysing data from complex datasets and systems.
•    Strong project management skills with demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects/work-streams simultaneously.
•    3-5 years' experience in Python, SQL, building machine learning models, and deploying them at scale.
•    Proficiency with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy for data manipulation, Scikit-learn for traditional ML models, and TensorFlow/PyTorch for deep learning.
•    Experience in data engineering, working with SQL, PySpark, and ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.

You may have some of the following skills / experience: 

•    Understanding of Generative AI, including LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, and prompt engineering using Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and vector databases.
•    Experience in building and deploying machine learning models at scale.
•    Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) with libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, and transformers for text analytics, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition solutions.
•    Cloud expertise with AWS (S3, Lambda, SageMaker) and Azure (Databricks, AI Studio, Synapse Analytics) for scalable ML solutions.
•    Proficiency in GitHub version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative ML development.
