What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager within our Financial Services Tax team, you will provide income tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse array of clients across the financial services industry with a focus on the investment management sector including funds management, superannuation, and platform service providers.

Expect every day to be different – assist with a client’s domestic and international compliance obligations on one day, and work on complex domestic and cross-border tax matters, or a significant transaction engagement, on another. Be part of a diverse high-performing and fast-growing team that really love what they do and be mentored by some of the best in this field.

No two days are the same in the Financial Services Tax team – As a driven Manager you will work with a range of large well-known financial services clients, gaining deep knowledge of a variety of specialist investment vehicle types, investment structures, products, platforms and industry issues, cutting across a range of industry segments including funds management, superannuation and platform service providers.

We provide a wide range of specialist tax services to an extensive and diverse array of clients – These include ongoing income tax compliance and tax advisory on a range of tax technical and industry issues, working closely with other teams across our tax practice locally, nationally and globally as well as with other parts of Deloitte.

You are someone with:

• Experience working as a tax advisor to the investment management sector, or tax experience at a fund manager or custodian.
• Experience providing income tax advice and tax compliance services.
• A self-starter attitude with an ability to drive results and take initiative to identify areas of opportunity.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple, differing complexity engagements.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with our clients and cultivate new ones.
• Demonstrated ability in training, delegating to and supporting junior members of the team.
• Works well in teams with a high attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm and a passion to learn, support, challenge and succeed.
• A willingness to ‘get hands dirty’ when required.
