About the team
Deloitte’s Controls Assurance team advises some of Australia’s most significant businesses and organisations on their control environments and provides assurance on the frameworks that stakeholders rely on. The team works with some of the Australia’s largest ASX listed companies to develop controls transformation frameworks, end to end process and controls assessment, design and operating effectiveness testing and process and controls transformation.
Our goal is to deliver differentiated internal audit services and transform internal controls by harnessing the power of digital and data. We believe in truly understanding the control issues, opportunities, and frameworks for our clients, offering industry insight to help build resilience and readiness in an uncertain and transformational environment.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Audit/Accounting background ideally in Professional Services, is desired but not required
- Qualifications in an accounting/finance degree and CA qualification or equivalent
- Experience in controls – external audit/ internal audit and other controls advisory and third party controls assurance engagements, particularly exposure to PCAOB and Sarbanes Oxley controls experience (highly desirable)
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, and able to demonstrate high levels of initiative
- Background in technology; has a good understanding of automated workflows, system architecture (interfaces/APIs) and automated processes and controls
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and coaching skills are highly regarded and will position you as a trusted advisor with your stakeholders.
