What will your typical day look like?  

Day to day, you’ll work side-by-side with the Business Finance Lead, delivering high-impact financial and operational support that shapes decision-making across the business. You’ll analyse weekly and monthly performance, turn numbers into clear commercial insights, and help drive strong, forward-looking financial reporting. 

You’ll play a hands-on role in improving financial reporting and planning processes, strengthening the way Finance partners with the business to deliver outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the firm, contribute to strategic initiatives, and—when required—step in for the Business Finance Lead, taking ownership of key services and deliverables while continuing to grow your commercial impact. 

About the team  

The team sits within National Finance, under the Business Finance function. We specialise in providing critical and extensive finance business partnering, working closely with Deloitte business leaders to achieve the financial goals of their businesses. 

This team has a high performing culture whilst balancing being supportive, collaborative, and flexible, with a strong focus on development and knowledge sharing. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of their work and build confidence in managing their responsibilities independently, and seeking coaching as needed. 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.  

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:  

• 1+ years’ experience in a finance, commercial, or business-partnering role
• Strong MS Office capability, with advanced Excel skills
• CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline 

Nice to have (Not essential) 

• Experience in a Professional Services environment
• Exposure to SAP or similar ERP / General Ledger systems
• Experience using BI and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, TM1, Tableau, Power BI)
• Familiarity with Anaplan
