M&A Analyst

What will your typical day look like? 
Our internal Corporate Development team, which assists Deloitte’s five business units with inorganic growth initiatives, is seeking an M&A Analyst to assist in delivering our M&A strategy. This role will contribute to the Firm’s continued focus on M&A as we look to strengthen and diversify our offerings to clients.
You will be involved in a wide range of M&A transactions in various sectors, conduct detailed financial analysis and prepare valuation materials. You will also manage financial due diligence on targets and project manage the financial elements of transactions over the entire lifecycle – from direct liaison with vendors during negotiations to post-transaction performance monitoring and reporting to senior internal stakeholders

Sitting under Deloitte’s Strategy & Transformation team, the Corporate Development & Ventures team plays an important role in developing tailored inorganic growth strategies (including M&A, Ventures, Lateral hires, and Strategic Alliances), allowing the business to maintain a competitive advantage!


Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with: 

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in the M&A transaction environment and process
  • A good understanding of financial analysis, valuation and modelling
  • A keen eye for detail combined with an ability to focus on key issues
  • A proactive attitude and ability to quickly grasp financial concepts and explain them in simple terms
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • A relevant post-graduate qualification, or be working towards one (e.g. CA, CFA)
  • A genuine desire to work on M&A transactions
