Our team is growing. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic lawyer to join the Office of the General Counsel in the Business Relationship practice area.

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?
Life at Deloitte is high-tempo and impactful – there is no typical day! You may start the day negotiating complex SaaS agreements, advise stakeholders on intellectual property and brand issues, help Deloitte navigate nuanced legal issues in building new assets and end the day advising stakeholders on complex contractual issues in a cross-jurisdictional managed service provider arrangement.
As part of the OGC team, you will primarily work autonomously across a wide portfolio of procurement matters integral to Deloitte’s infrastructure.
In addition, you will flexibly work across the broader OGC business relationships team which is responsible for end to end legal advice on Deloitte’s assets, alliance relationships, branding and intellectual property, occupancy arrangements and outsourcing arrangements.
Your role will involve developing and managing our internal client stakeholder relationships as a trusted advisor and leading the review and negotiation of contracts while providing strategic advice to the business.
We are committed to always learning. You will contribute to precedent and practice management, team development and may assist in various exciting projects (including implementation of AI based legal tools) on which the team is working.


Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You.
You will be an intellectually curious and driven lawyer with a minimum 3 years’ + PQE in commercial law or procurement contracting, gained within a major law firm, a leading organisation or professional services firm. This role may also be suitable for a procurement manager or contract manager who is legally qualified and looking to step into a legal role.
This role is perfect for a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously that is keen to support a business with bold growth plans. 

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating procurement, supply and licencing agreements.
  • The ability to manage end to end contracting process from initial business advice, through review, drafting and negotiation.
  • Strong foundation of core legal concepts in commercial law and ability to apply those concepts in a professional services context.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a high level of strategic thinking to craft elegant solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle a high volume of matters, across all areas of the firm.
  • Strong empathy and an ability to build relationships at all levels of the business, to support problem solving and informed decision making.
  • Flexibility and who enjoys a dynamic, hybrid corporate culture.
  • Ability to manage their time in a fast-paced environment whilst managing several matters concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • A positive, energetic and collaborative mindset who will thrive in a highly agile and geographically dispersed team.
