Are you a commercial lawyer looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience? We are seeking a Legal Counsel – Contract Management to join our growing team, supporting the firm’s technology and transformation engagements. This role can be based in Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney and offers exposure to high-impact projects across multiple industries.

 

What will your typical day look like?

Day to day you will be embedded in engagement teams on large technology and transformation programs, while also providing contract management support across smaller projects. You’ll help identify and manage contractual obligations, participate in governance forums with both internal and client stakeholders, and contribute to the development of tools, templates, and processes to support a technology-enabled practice. You will collaborate closely with the Office of General Counsel team, sharing knowledge and helping solve complex contractual challenges.

 

About the team

The Deloitte Contract Management team is an integral part of large-scale technology projects, operating as a national practice within the Office of General Counsel. We work closely with commercial lawyers, quality & risk, and engagement teams to provide holistic support throughout the lifecycle of engagements. You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • 2–5 years PQE as a commercial lawyer

  • Exposure to technology contracts is ideal but not mandatory

  • Experience working with business stakeholders, internal teams, and project leaders

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Passion for practical problem-solving, identifying risk, and managing client delivery

  • Ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge

  • Positive, can-do, and collaborative mindset

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive environment
