We are seeking a senior leader to help shape the development and go-to-market approach for our integrated, AI-enabled Knowledge & Intelligence Studio. You will work with teams across the studio and with clients to take ideas from early concept through to production. This role sits at the intersection of knowledge, design and AI. You'll help define what Design Technology becomes at Deloitte Digital: establishing the craft and point of view that underpin how we work and what we do.

What will your typical day look like?  

• Lead the research and development of AI-enabled capabilities, prototypes, and products: from framing problems to working demos and deployments.
• Work with practice and client leaders to shape those capabilities into offerings, and deliver them at scale.
• Support multi-disciplinary squads across the studio, embedding hands-on where needed, to deliver solutions for clients and their customers.
• Develop and maintain studio tooling and assets, and shape how we show our work to the market.
• Foster a culture of understanding and adapting to a changing landscape. Develop technical fluency in the wider design practice and collaboration across the boundaries of design, engineering, and science.
• Build relationships inside and outside the business, and shape and represent our point of view to clients and industry.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

• Systems thinking and conceptual modelling as a foundation, creating sense and meaning out of abstract or messy domains.
• Comfort in reasoning and designing below the interface: transforming data and information, and building an understanding of the underlying technology stack and ecosystem, to design tailored solutions.
• The ability to drive conceptual clarity: moving fluidly from models and descriptions through to interactions and expressive visual communication.
• Experience building with AI as a core part of your practice, taking work from exploration through to prototypes and production software (agentic tooling, custom harnesses, design tool integration and deployment).
• A track record of leading through influence in ambiguous, cross-functional settings, and of building strong partnerships with clients and peers.
• Experience setting a vision for a team or practice and developing the people and capabilities within it.
• Experience establishing a new capability, practice or offering and taking it to market.
• Experience directing work across multiple scales, from founding and building teams to large technology programs, while remaining hands-on in the work.
• Experience with developer tools, data products or scientific tooling.
• Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in design, with a focus on systems thinking.
