We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a charismatic hospitality professional to join our Guest Experience team in Sydney. As the Guest Experience Function & Operations Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our client-facing services—representing the Deloitte brand with confidence and care. This permanent role is central to delivering exceptional experiences for our partners, VIPs, clients, and teams across our vibrant event and conferencing spaces.   • Manage - manage the daily operational activities of the client floors. 

 

What will your typical day look like?  

  • Daily operational running and supervising of the client floors. 

  • Management of casual staff across all floors. 

  • Leading events and functions. 

  • Ensuring daily floor operational checklists are actioned and implemented. 

  • Maintain high standards of Boardroom Service including barista coffee and beverages, food handling, and room/function set up. 

  • Foster clear communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, particularly during events. 

  • Manage the consumption of alcohol for functions and consumption report after each function. 

  • Manage and support the execution of events and functions on a rotating roster, aligning with business demands. 

  • Maintain and assess workplace health and safety procedures are being followed by all team members. 

 

About the team   

The Deloitte Guest Experience team offers a 5 star, personalised, high-touch service for meetings, seminars, executive dining and formal events. We operate a across levels 44-47 with stunning views and encompassing a tech-advanced event centre, a 200 Pax Seminar area, function areas, client lounge, boardrooms and terrace. 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.  

  • Proven hospitality experience with an understanding of FOH and BOH operations. Hotel and/or tourism experience is preferred. 

  • Exceptional front of house presentation with high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Strong ability to work independently, and multi-task. 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in FOH logistical arrangements. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to investigate and resolve the client enquiries efficiently. 

  • Flexibility to adapt to challenging situations and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in processes and service delivery. 

  • Strong knowledge of Opera PMS, EMS & Microsoft.  

  • Full working rights required.
