Join Deloitte in Sydney as a Consultant Forward Deployed Full Stack Engineer, where you'll build practical software solutions side by side with clients and see your work create real-world impact.

What will your typical day look like?

From early discovery through to deployment, you'll work with clients to understand complex business and technical challenges, shape practical solutions, and build software that meets real user and operational needs. That could mean developing customer-facing applications, building APIs and integrations, extending platforms, or designing cloud-based solutions in AWS or Azure.

A big part of the role is owning the full software development life cycle end to end. You'll write clean, maintainable code, contribute to technical architecture, implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code, and help monitor, troubleshoot and improve solutions once they're live.

Along the way, you'll collaborate with engineers, architects, designers and client stakeholders to solve consequential problems in fast-moving environments. The work spans front-end, back-end, data-intensive services and modern AI-assisted engineering workflows, giving you plenty of variety and the chance to keep growing your craft.

About the team

You'll join a high-trust engineering team that works closely with clients and takes real ownership of delivery. The team is collaborative, low-ego and growing, with opportunities to shape engineering standards, tooling and ways of working while contributing to technically demanding work across government, financial services and critical infrastructure.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Experience building and delivering software across the full software development life cycle

• Strong full stack engineering capability across front-end and back-end technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, Java, C#, Python, TypeScript or Go

• Experience designing and supporting APIs, integrations, distributed services and data-intensive applications

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, plus an understanding of cloud-native architecture

• Familiarity with source control, automated testing, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices

• Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and working directly with clients to solve problems

• A proactive, adaptable approach and comfort working across ambiguity, multiple technologies and evolving delivery needs

• Nice to have: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AI-assisted engineering tools, or client-facing consulting environments
