We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our National Finance team in Sydney. This is a permanent opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic financial insights and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.

This role sits at the centre of financial decision-making, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, improve performance outcomes, and support the business through data-driven insights and strong commercial acumen.

 

What will your typical day look like?

  • In this role, you’ll be working closely with senior business leaders to provide financial insights that shape decision-making and drive performance. You’ll review monthly results, analyse key drivers, and translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • You’ll spend your time supporting forecasting and planning cycles, delivering high-quality management reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to understand their financial and operational goals. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.

 

About the team

  • The National Finance team plays a critical role in supporting Deloitte’s business by providing strategic financial advice, reporting and analysis.
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing FP&A team that partners closely with business leaders to deliver insights that drive performance and support key strategic initiatives. The team values strong relationships, commercial thinking and continuous improvement, and provides a supportive environment for professional growth.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, management accounting or business partnering roles
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Strong financial analysis and commercial acumen with the ability to provide value-add insights
  • Experience delivering monthly reporting, forecasting and planning processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across MS Office
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience
  • Experience working in large or complex organisations (professional services experience advantageous)
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos or TM1
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement focus
