What will your typical day look like? 

 

This is an exciting career opportunity for a career focused Senior Analyst to join our private market external audit service offering within the Deloitte Audit & Assurance business unit.

As part of the role you will and gain exposure to a range of high profile and complex accounting issues and work on those clients that are undergoing IPO processes including :

 

  • Working closely with our clients through the entire M&A lifecycle including advice on transactions (trade sale, financial sponsorship, IPO) including related accounting and tax matters and reviewing sale and purchase agreements;
  • Support in delivery of financial statement audits for active private companies within the M&A lifecycle including private equity investee companies.
  • Exposure to prospectus processes and IPO readiness services
  • Our clients include Australian and International private companies, private equity firms and VC firms.  We are the leading Big 4 firm for private companies when it comes to the IPO market.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 
We’re looking for someone with:   

  • An Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Business and/or Accounting
  • Post graduate qualification or currently studying, e.g. CA, CPA, CFA, MBA or Master’s in Applied Finance
  • Structured thinking style with focus on detail to support financial analysis required in a complex transaction
  • Exposure to or interest in the broader deal/transaction process or M&A lifecycle
  • Experience in a finance team (controllers, FP&A, etc.), audit, assurance, financial due diligence or corporate finance. External audit experience is highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • A broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing and working in diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
  • Leadership skills and previous experience with developing the capability of individuals, and leading teams to deliver high quality client outcomes at more senior levels
