Ecosystem Lead - AWS (Parental Leave)

This is a 12-month parental leave backfill opportunity for a Director in Melbourne or Sydney, offering the chance to lead one of Deloitte's most important technology alliances and help clients unlock greater value from their AWS investments. 

What will your typical day look like? 

At the heart of this role is the leadership of Deloitte Australia's AWS alliance strategy - turning firm priorities into a clear plan across sectors, clients, offerings and growth plays. You'll work closely with the Lead Partner and leadership team to shape practice direction, activate strategic opportunities, and represent Deloitte in senior alliance conversations with AWS. 

This role also has a strong market and client focus. From accelerating pipeline and supporting strategic pursuits to leading go-to-market activity with a particular focus on AI, you'll bring together teams across Engineering AI & Data, Customer, Enterprise Technology & Performance, Human Capital, Cyber, AI & Operate to sharpen Deloitte's value proposition and create stronger in-market momentum. 

Just as important is the operating rhythm behind a high-growth alliance. You'll oversee governance, communications, reporting and executive engagement, including top-to-top preparation, while building trusted relationships across Deloitte, AWS and the broader ecosystem to deepen collaboration and drive long-term impact. 

About the team 

You'll join Deloitte's Growth business, where alliances, market activation and strategic opportunity creation help the firm build momentum in priority areas. The team works across Business Units, sectors and ecosystem partners to turn strategic relationships into differentiated market propositions, stronger client opportunities and sustained growth. Within that, AWS is a major alliance for Deloitte - with broad relevance across cloud, AI, data and transformation agendas across the firm.

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences: 

• Experience leading strategic alliances, ecosystem partnerships or growth initiatives in consulting, technology or a related environment 

• Strong commercial capability across pipeline growth, co-sell activity, business development and market activation 

• Knowledge of AWS, AI, data and broader technology-led transformation agendas 

• Senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Deloitte, alliance partners and clients 

• Experience shaping and executing go-to-market strategy across cross-functional teams and matrix environments 

• Strong executive communication, presentation and influencing skills 

• The ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment 

• Experience working with Tier 1 consulting firms or leading complex cross-functional initiatives would be valuable
