Demand for our Technology Assurance services continues to accelerate, and we are seeking a commercially minded Director to help lead our next phase of growth. This is an opportunity to shape the market, influence C-suite decision-makers, and build a high-performing practice within a nationally recognised brand.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Director in our Technology Assurance team, you will:

  • Drive market growth: Lead business development initiatives, originate new opportunities, and expand our presence across priority sectors.
  • Build trusted client relationships: Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, strengthening long-term partnerships and identifying cross-service opportunities.
  • Lead high-performing teams: Inspire, mentor, and develop consultants, creating a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Shape the practice: Contribute to strategic planning, service innovation, and go-to-market initiatives to position the team at the forefront of Technology Assurance.
  • Deliver quality at scale: Oversee complex assurance and advisory engagements, ensuring technical excellence, commercial discipline, and strong client outcomes.
  • Own financial performance: Manage revenue, margin, and pipeline to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Influence at the executive level: Present insights and recommendations that inform board and executive decision-making.

Our work spans assurance, advisory, and emerging risk areas, helping clients protect their reputation, build resilience, and enable sustainable growth.

We operate as a nationally integrated and globally connected practice within the Deloitte Asia Pacific firm. This provides you with the platform, brand, and scale to build your market profile and accelerate your leadership journey.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may bring all or some of the following:

  • Established leadership experience: 10+ years in technology assurance, internal audit, advisory, or consulting, with a track record of leading complex engagements and high-performing teams.
  • Deep Financial Services experience: Experience in providing technology services to financial service institutions, with a preferred focus on Banking. Exposure to APRA prudential standards, including CPS 234 for Information Security, CPS 230 for Operational Resilience, and CPG 235 for Managing Data Risk will be viewed favourably. 
  • Commercial mindset: Demonstrated ability to originate, shape, and convert opportunities, supported by a strong professional network.
  • Executive presence: Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and translating complex technical concepts into clear strategic insight.
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of technology governance, risk, and control frameworks, including experience designing and testing controls.
  • Client delivery excellence: Experience producing high-quality reports, proposals, and executive-level presentations.
  • Innovation and automation: Experience in innovating and automating the audit and assurance life cycle. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence concepts, both through use in delivering services and advising clients.
  • Strong academic foundation: Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional accreditation.

 

Experience within professional services delivering technology assurance engagements and familiarity with assurance standards such as ASAE 3150 and SOC 2 will be highly regarded.

Industry certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, Essential Eight, ISO 27001 / ISO 42001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are advantageous.
